Nishikatsura, Yamanashi Prefecture, has been weaving ultra-thin silk fabrics since the Edo period. Muto's fabrics are made by blending ultra-fine threads of natural materials such as silk, cashmere, organic cotton, and linen to create the most comfortable feel, and weaving them on slow looms to give them a sense of air and softness. Finished with the meltwater and wind from Mt. Fuji, each piece is hand-finished by skilled artisans.
